Privacy Policy Framework (Web & Database Compliance). This Privacy Policy governs the collection, usage, retention, and deletion of user data across our platform and databases.

1. Information we collect

To operate a secure real-time platform, we collect and store specific categories of data:

• Account information: Email addresses, hashed passwords, and verified phone numbers used during registration and authentication (via Firebase Auth / secure server protocols).
• Technical logs: IP addresses, browser user-agents, connection timestamps, and WebSocket session metadata retained securely for safety, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.
• Chat metadata and reports: Temporary message buffers or transcript snapshots generated only when a user flags another user for review by our moderation team. Standard unflagged chat data is processed ephemerally in real-time memory.
• Age eligibility: A date of birth you submit at signup, stored separately from your public profile, used only to confirm you meet the minimum age of 18.

2. How we use your data

• To verify your account credentials and enforce the minimum age of 18.
• To maintain platform security, prevent bot automation, and execute rate-limiting.
• To investigate user reports, moderate malicious behavior, and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Data retention and deletion rights

• We retain your account credentials and security logs for as long as your account remains active or as required by law enforcement obligations.
• User data deletion: You have the right to request complete account deletion. Deleting your account will scrub your email, phone credentials, and profile identifiers from our active databases, subject to technical backup retention windows.

4. Third-party infrastructure

Our application is hosted and deployed using modern cloud infrastructure (such as Railway and Firebase). These third-party processors handle data in compliance with strict industry security standards and data protection frameworks (including GDPR and CCPA where applicable).
