Is Project Cypher free?
Yes. Core chat is free. Optional Pro upgrades and points packs may unlock extras. Virtual goods have no cash value and are not redeemable for money.
Do I need my real name?
No. Pick a nickname. You must confirm you are at least 18 and accept the Terms before using the app.
What are chambers?
Chambers are topic-based chat rooms. Join public ones or create a space for your community.
How does interest matching work?
Add interests on your profile. Message Random User prefers people who share those tags while still allowing broader discovery.
Are private messages private?
Direct messages are private conversations between you and the other person. They are not shown in public chat rooms.
Can I use voice or video?
Yes, when both people are ready. Calls work best on a stable connection; some networks need TURN relay support which the service provides when configured.
How do I report or block someone?
Use the report and block controls on a user or message in the app. For what we prohibit, read the safety overview.
Is there a mobile app?
You can install Project Cypher as a Progressive Web App from a supported mobile browser today. Native store builds are on the roadmap.
